The Department of Statistics focuses its research and teaching on modern statistical methods, data science, econometrics, empirical economic research and the application of quantitative methods in economics and social sciences. A particular focus is on applied statistics and the promotion of data literacy as a central key competence in dealing with data-based issues. The lecturers teach in the Bachelor's degree programs in Economics and Business Administration as well as in the Master's degree programs in Entrepreneurship and SME Management, Accounting, Auditing and Taxation, Controlling and Risk Management, Management and Markets and Plural Economics.
