Against the backdrop of its social and legal relevance, and within the context of various projects, the topic of accessibility (inclusivity) is addressed. The goal is to present the various perspectives and discourses on the subject.

Keywords

Accessibility, Disability Studies, workplace studies, literature review

Background

Against the backdrop of its social and legal relevance, and within the context of various projects, the topic of accessibility (inclusivity) is addressed. The goal is to present the various perspectives and discourses on the subject.

Task

People with disabilities still do not participate on an equal footing in the workforce, even though many new technologies make it possible to design workplaces to be more accessible and thus employ people with disabilities or limitations. The reasons cited are not always purely technological; rather, in this sensitive context, organizational, societal, and personal aspects must also be addressed. Conduct a literature review on “Disability and Workplace Studies.”

The systematic literature review should provide an overview of current and relevant publications, describing and comparing them. The discourses in the field of “accessibility and the employment of people with disabilities” should be highlighted, discussed, and research gaps identified.
