How do we generate electricity? What impact do fossil fuels have on the climate? What prospects do renewable energies and research into future energies offer us? The physics show musical "Zukunftsenergien - Zukunftsmusik?" by the University of Bonn addresses these and similar questions. Live experiments make the physical principles tangible, while the songs tell of the search for solutions and drive the plot forward. The format of the physics show musical was developed at the University of Bonn and is unique in the world. The combination of physics, music and theater creates low-threshold access to current research topics.
On Saturday, December 13, the Bonn physicists will be bringing their show to Siegen:
There will be one performance at 11 a.m. and one at 3 p.m. on the Emmy Noether Campus (Room ENC D 114, Walter-Flex-Straße 3, 57072 Siegen).
The event is aimed at all interested parties aged 12 and over; no previous knowledge is required. The aim of the show is to illustrate the relevance of research into future energies and to arouse enthusiasm for science.
The Bonn physics show musical has previously been performed in Bonn, Dortmund and Berlin. As the Universities of Bonn, Dortmund and Siegen cooperate closely in the field of particle physics in the joint Cluster of Excellence "Color meets Flavor", it will now also be shown in Siegen.
Anyone wishing to visit the physics show is asked to register online in advance for a performance via this link: https://indico.hiskp.uni-bonn.de/event/1202/
