This course offers an introduction to the basics of digital image processing. The aim is to enable participants to acquire a basic knowledge that will enable them to familiarize themselves independently with the image processing software of their choice.
Information
Topics are: Capturing images digitally, image formats, methods of processing, output formats, color spaces, resolution and compression. A special focus is on the processing of images for scientific and artistic publications.
