Bending Forum 2026: Impulses for the forming technology of tomorrow

The BiFo 2026 will be held as a hybrid event and combines a virtual scientific conference with an in-person conference day in Siegen. In terms of content, the forum is divided into three central topics: Mobility in transition, flexible manufacturing technologies and digital intelligence in production. The focus will be on new vehicle and body concepts, adaptive production systems, additive and flexible forming processes and the use of digitalization and artificial intelligence along the process chain.

The event will kick off on March 5, 2026 with an online conference featuring scientific presentations on the latest research results in bending and profile forming. This will be followed on March 9 by a "Come Together" in the laboratory of the Chair of Forming Technology with live demonstrations of ongoing research projects, including a scalable, flexibly configurable production cell. The BiFo conference day on March 10 at the Lower Castle in Siegen will offer specialist presentations from the industry, exhibitor pitches and an accompanying trade exhibition for networking.

The event offers space for the exchange of ideas and experiences as well as for networking within the industry. The aim is to jointly identify and sustainably develop the key levers of the forming technology of the future.

The bending forum is aimed at specialists and managers from sheet metal, profile and tube forming, from mechanical and plant engineering, as well as users of digital manufacturing solutions.
