Deadlines for the Summer Semester 2026
Registration for coursework (e.g., mandatory submission of exercises, internship assignments, term papers, seminars, project work, and, where applicable, as a prerequisite for an exam) must be completed via unisono before submitting the first (partial) assignment. Registration in unisono will be open from April 1, 2026, through September 23, 2026. As long as you are not registered for the course component, you cannot and must not submit any work! Please clarify any issues directly with the relevant department. Please check the module descriptions (see below!) to determine in which modules you are required to complete coursework.
Registration for written exams runs from June 8, 2026, until 14 days before each written exam (unisono calculates this down to the exact hour!).
Please note that different deadlines may apply for exams in modules imported from other degree programs. You can find information on this at the Examinations Office of the exporting degree program.
The deadlines listed are strict; registration after the deadline is only possible in justified cases of hardship by submitting a written request to the Examinations Committee!
Registration for oral exams (online registration in unisono followed by scheduling an appointment with the examiner) must be completed at least 7 days before the exam date (preferably well in advance!).
Important: Registered oral exams that will no longer take place during the registered semester must be canceled no later than 8 days before the end of the semester. Exams for which you have registered but did not take will not be carried over to the following semester, and it will no longer be possible to cancel or re-register for them. In this case, a “did not appear” (which means a grade of 5.0) will automatically be recorded for you.
The following applies to exams: The withdrawal form due to illness
must be submitted to the Examinations Office in writing or by email (PDF) along with a doctor’s note no later than three business days after the exam. If submitted by mail, the postmark date applies.
For theses: The illness must be reported to the Examinations Office immediately in writing or by email (PDF), along with a doctor’s note.
Please note that medical certificates must be signed by the doctor in their own handwriting (no pre-printed signatures!) and that the Examinations Office cannot accept electronic certificates of incapacity for work.
