Deadlines for the 2026/27 Winter Semester:

Registration for coursework (e.g., mandatory submission of exercises, internship assignments, term papers, seminars, project work, and, where applicable, as a prerequisite for an exam) must be completed via unisono before submitting the first (partial) assignment. Registration in unisono is open from October 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027. As long as you are not registered for the coursework, you cannot and must not submit any work! Please resolve any issues directly with the relevant department. Please check the module descriptions (see below!) to determine in which modules you are required to complete coursework.

Registration for written exams runs from December 1, 2026, until 14 days before the respective written exam (unisono calculates this down to the exact hour!).
Please note that different deadlines may apply for exams in modules imported from other degree programs. Information on this can be found at the Exams Office of the exporting degree program.
The deadlines listed are strict; registration after the deadline is only possible in justified cases of hardship by submitting a written request to the Examination Board!

Registration for oral exams (online registration in unisono, followed by scheduling an appointment with the examiner)must take placeat least one week before the exam date(preferably well in advance!). Forthird-attempt exams, registration must be completed through the Registrar’s Officeat least two weeks before the exam date.

Important: Registered oral exams, prerequisite exams, or coursework that will no longer take place in the registered semester must be withdrawn no later than 8 days before the end of the semester. Unattended exams, prerequisite exams, and coursework will not be carried over to the following semester, and it will no longer be possible to cancel or re-register for them.In this case, a “NE” (which corresponds to a grade of 5.0 for graded courses) will automatically be entered for you.

You canwithdraw from exams through unisono up to7 days before the exam(i.e., without a doctor’s note). Please note that the unisono system calculates this deadline based on the actual start time of the exam.

In the event ofillness: A withdrawal (please use thewithdrawal form for this) must be submitted to the Examination Officewithin 3 business days (FPO 2022) after the exam, along with the medical certificate or certificate of incapacity for work, either in writing or via email as a PDF; Do not send the sick note to the examiner’s department. (If submitted by mail, the postmark date applies.)
