Request another email address

As a university employee, you can request an additional work email address.

  • Log in to the UniSIM online user account management system
    using your ZIMT account credentials.
  • Select the service "I would like / need ... an additional email address" -> and then click the "Request Services" button next to your name. 
  • Under “The following options,” select the “Additional email address [+]” field.
    • Please note the excerpt from the University of Siegen’s guidelines on the assignment of names and addresses:
      • Email Addresses
        • Every employee has an email address in the format Vorname.Nachname@uni-siegen.de. If there are employees with the same last name, the first name is supplemented with a sequential number. This address should be used as the employee’s official email address in external communications and correspondence.
        • Instead of a name, the title of a university-wide position or a group of people may also be used (e.g., rektor@uni-siegen.de). [...]
        • In addition, the following decentralized email addresses are permitted:
          • Vorname.Nachname@OU.uni-siegen.de
          • Nachname@OU.uni-siegen.de
          • FunktionOderGruppe@OU.uni-siegen.de
          • FunktionOderGruppe@uni-siegen.de
  • Please choose one of the options listed above.
    Please note that the final address may include a number.
