Andreas Dutzi has been a professor at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Siegen since 2011. He is the coordinator of the AAT (Accounting, Auditing & Taxation, M.Sc.) master’s program and chair of the SUWI Research Institute. Previously, he was a professor of accounting and family business management at the Witten Institute of Family Business (University of Witten/Herdecke) and a lecturer at the Institute for Law and Finance (ILF) in Frankfurt. Andreas Dutzi studied business administration at the University of Mannheim and at Trinity College Dublin (University of Dublin), Ireland. He earned his Ph.D. and completed his habilitation at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. In addition to his academic duties, he supports entrepreneurs and advises companies.

He is a member of several academic associations, including the European Accounting Association (EAA), the European Academy of Management (EURAM), the Australian & New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM), the International Corporate Governance Society (ICGS), and the Schmalenbach Society for the Promotion of Research in Business Administration and Corporate Practice (SG). He serves as an ad hoc reviewer for various academic journals, books, and conferences.

His research interests include sustainability reporting, risk management, special audits, and the design of governance mechanisms in for-profit and nonprofit organizations. He has published several works on topics in the fields of accounting and corporate governance. In addition, he is the editor of two book series: (1) Sustainability Management, Risk Governance, and Communication and (2) International Tax Theory, Tax Law, and Auditing.
