Prof. Dr. Andreas Dutzi
Professor
Prof. Dr. Dutzi has been working at the University of Siegen's Schools of Business and Economics since 2011. He is coordinator of the Master's degree program AAT (Accounting, Auditing & Taxation, M. Sc.), member of the Faculty Council and Chairman of the SUWI Research Institute. He is also responsible for the recognition of credits for the auditor examination at the University of Siegen and is Chairman of the Alumni Club Siegener Forum e.V. Previously, he was Professor of Accounting and Management of Family Businesses at the Witten Institute of Family Business (University of Witten/Herdecke) and lecturer at the Institute of Law and Finance (ILF) in Frankfurt. Andreas Dutzi studied Business Administration and Chemical Technology at the University of Mannheim and Trinity College Dublin (University of Dublin), Ireland. He received his doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) from Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. In addition to his academic work, he supports entrepreneurs and companies in difficulty.
He is a member of several academic associations, including the European Accounting Association (EAA), the European Academy of Management (EURAM), the Australian & New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM), the International Corporate Governance Society (ICGS), the Schmalenbach-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Forschung in Betriebswirtschaftslehre und Unternehmenspraxis (SG) and the International Association for Accounting, Education & Research (IAAER). He is an ad hoc reviewer for various academic journals, books and conferences.
His research interests include sustainability reporting, risk management, special audits and the governance of family businesses. He has published several papers on accounting and corporate governance topics. He is also the editor of two book series: (1) Sustainability Management, Risk Governance and Communication and (2) International Taxation, Tax Law and Auditing.
