Instructions
To change your password, please log in to the website https://auth.uni-siegen.de
and select "Change password" from the menu at the top right. If the option is not available, please log out and log in again via "Log out".
Requirement
The password must have a minimum length of 12 characters and contain characters from each of the following three groups:
- Lowercase letters: a, b, c, ...
- Capital letters: A, B, C, ...
- Numbers: 1, 2, 3, ...
Please do NOT use the following characters:
- Umlauts ä, Ä, ö, Ö, ü, Ü
- ß (Eszett / Sharp S)
- Combinations of letters that appear one after the other in your account or full name
Special characters should be avoided.

A password change affects the login to the following services:
- CIP pools of the ZIMT
- eduroam (WLAN)
- E-mail/web mail
- Microsoft 365
- LimeSurvey (survey system)
- Moodle (learning management system)
- NAS drives of the ZIMT
- UniSIM user account management
- SharePoint sites
- VPN
- WebEx
- Services supported via Shibboleth
Other services
Use the Self Service Password Reset (SSPR) service to conveniently reset your password yourself if you have forgotten it.
