Welcome event for first-year students of the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Chemistry
Dear first-year students,
the Department of Chemistry and Biology would like to invite you to our welcome event on October 13, 2025 in our lecture hall AR-F-002.
The Welcome Week for the Bachelor's degree programs begins at 1 pm.
The Welcome Week for the Master's degree programs begins at 3 pm.

Mathematics preparatory course:
This preliminary mathematics course is aimed at first-year students of School of Science and Technology IV (School of Science and Technology) at the University of Siegen.
Participation in the preparatory course is voluntary and not a prerequisite for studying, but we strongly recommend participation if you did not take an advanced mathematics course in your Abitur.
Please note:
The 1st lecture hour of General Chemistry (15.10.2025, 9.00, AR-F 002) includes a fire drill! We ask for punctual participation!
Important information about starting your studies:
Safety briefing for first-year chemistry students (Bachelor Chemistry, Bachelor Teacher Education, Bachelor DBHS focus "Biomedical Technology"):
Wednesday, 10/15/2025, 2:00 - 4:00 pm, blue lecture hall (AR-D 5102).
Note:
Participation in the legally required safety instruction (one-time, approx. 2 hours) is mandatory for first-year students of chemistry.
Details on the event will follow in unisono.
The certificates for the safety instruction can be picked up from Monday, 20.10.2025 in the department office (AR-H 112) from Ms. Zizka.
