Dr. Kaufman has been a research assistant at the Chair of Business Administration, in particular Accounting and Corporate Governance, at the University of Siegen since completing his studies at the University of Cologne's Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences (degree: Diplom-Volkswirt) in summer 2014. During his studies, he worked for Deutsche Telekom AG in Group Controlling and PricewaterhouseCoopers AG in Auditing, among others. In addition, he worked for four and a half years as a student assistant at the Institute of Banking and Banking Law (Director: Prof. Dr. T. Hartmann-Wendels) and for one and a half years as a research assistant at the Institute of Finance and the Center for Financial Research (Prof. Dr. Alexander Kempf) at the University of Cologne. His diploma thesis dealt with the regulatory treatment of systemic financial risks and their statistical measurement, taking into account aspects of game theory. His current research area deals with the value creation of foundations.
