International Women's Day

International Women's Day on March 8 commemorates the long struggle for women's rights and equality. It is a day to celebrate, but also to draw attention to existing injustices. Every year, the Department for Equal Opportunities organizes campaigns on gender equality issues around 8 March. Together with the Aktionsbündnis Frauenarbeit Siegerland and the Filmklub Kurbelkiste, a cinema evening is usually organized at the Kulturhaus Lÿz.
