About us
General information about the magazine
The journal addresses topics of social work and related scientific disciplines in an unusual perspective, mix and form. It sees itself as a specialist journal of social work with a clear reference to socio-educational / social science research at the University of Siegen and to practice in the region.
SIEGEN:SOZIAL has been published since 1996 as a journal of the social work courses at the University of Siegen and is aimed at a broad specialist audience (students, practitioners, management staff and academics). The aim is to intensify professional contacts between the university and the region. To this end, specialist articles from teaching, research and the profession will be published.
SIEGEN:SOZIAL has fixed sections such as "Thematic focus", "Contributions" (these can be specialist articles on other topics), "From studies and practice", "Documentation" (e.g. interviews) and "Service" (reviews, letters to the editor, etc.).
SIEGEN:SOZIAL invites lecturers and experts from universities, associations and practical institutions as well as those affected to contribute ideas, criticism and their own contributions to the success of the magazine.
In SIEGEN:SOZIAL there is a place for scientific articles, documentation as well as discourse on controversial topics.
The information sheet for authors can be downloaded as a PDF here. Among other things, it contains information on text formatting and necessary information about the authors.
