Language learning tandem
Language learning in tandem is a form of autonomous and intercultural learning. Language learning tandems offer the opportunity to improve your foreign language skills in contact with native speakers and gain intercultural insights at the same time. You can also choose your own topics of interest and work on specific skills.
After successful placement, the tandem pairs meet at a place and time of their choice. Each meeting lasts 2 x 45 minutes, with half of the time focused on your target language.
Upon successful completion and submission of the assignments from the five tandem sessions, you have the opportunity to receive a tandem certificate of participation. During the semester, the Language Center also offers consultation appointments, optional materials and rooms.

We are delighted that our language tandem will be starting a new round in the summer semester 2026!
Here you can find all the latest information at a glance:
- Start meeting: You will get to know your partner in person.
- Tandem meeting: After you have met your partner, you can arrange to meet digitally or, if possible, in person.
- Materials: Online material available via the Tandem Moodle room
- Certificate of participation: Handover of certificates of participation upon successful completion and submission of the tasks from the 5 tandem sessions
