Establishment of the Center for Interdisciplinary Health Research Siegen (ZiGS) at the University of Siegen
With the new Center for Interdisciplinary Health Research (ZiGS), the University of Siegen is specifically strengthening the field of health in research, teaching, and knowledge transfer. ZiGS creates a common framework for interdisciplinary collaboration to develop innovative and practical solutions for health care—particularly in rural areas.
On August 14, 2026, the ZiGS Executive Board named the regular founding members of the Central Scientific Institution of the University of Siegen during its meeting.
Prof. Hoffmann’s research focuses on normative health services research in a digital and sustainable society.
