EINMISCHEN event series enters its fourth round

The successful series of events "EINMISCHEN - Extrem rechte Interventionen als Herausforderung für Bildung in einer demokratischen Gesellschaft" will start on January 5, 2026 with a lecture by Prof. Dr. Andreas Zick (University of Bielefeld), in which he will ask how connectable right-wing extremist positions are in the general population. Five further events will follow until February 2 (see flyer). All events will take place online, registration for individual or all events is possible at einmischen@uni-wuppertal.de
or via bit.ly/einmischen2526 at any time.

The event series has been organized for four semesters by lecturers from the University of Siegen, the Bergische Universität Wuppertal, the University of Duisburg-Essen, the research focus on right-wing extremism/neo-Nazism at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences and Arts and, more recently, colleagues from the Freiburg University of Education and the Ruhr University Bochum. By the end of this semester, a total of 20 events on extreme right-wing interventions in education and social work had been realized within two years. The main contact persons in Siegen are currently Dr. Georg Geber-Knop (primary school pedagogy working group) and Dr. Simon Küth (school pedagogy working group). The events organized by the Siegen site are sponsored by the Institute of Educational Science; this semester, this includes the concluding panel discussion "Queerfeindlichkeit und rechte Normalisierung im Klassenzimmer? Insights from science and practice" on 2 February, for which Dr. Florian Cristóbal Klenk and Dr. Juno Grenz, both from the European University of Flensburg, volunteers from the education and anti-discrimination project SCHLAU and Dr. Monika Brinker from the GEW's Federal Queer Committee leadership team have been invited as participants.

We look forward to your participation in EINMISCHEN events in January and February 2026!
