PAR at the Dementia Meet in Siegen
The first Dementia Meet will take place in Siegen on July 11. As a member of the Dementia Roundtable, the event’s organizer, PAR will be represented by several members.
Under the theme “Lighthearted Moments on a Serious Topic,” people living with dementia, their families, and professionals are invited to the Kulturhaus Lÿz for the Dementia Meet. The all-day event will focus primarily on inspiring stories from those living with dementia and workshops for all attendees. In addition, a marketplace with various information booths will be available.
One of the inspiring stories featured in the program will be a presentation by the “People with Dementia” advisory board, moderated by PAR. At the Marketplace of Opportunities, alongside many other offerings, the guidebook “Communication in Dementia”
by Prof. Dr. Julia Haberstroh will be presented. Insights will be provided into the services offered by the Memory Clinic, a collaborative project between Siegen University Hospital and PAR. Additionally, the DECIDE-2 project
, which PAR is carrying out in collaboration with the Siegen-Wittgenstein Dementia Guide Network, the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases, the Chair of Ubiquitous Design in School III, and the Chair of Developmental Psychology and Clinical Psychology Across the Lifespan
at the University of Siegen.
