Welcome to our News page

With this first post, we are launching our News section at the Chair of Human-Centered Information Systems at the University of Siegen.

Our work focuses on the question of how digital systems must be designed so that they truly meet people’s needs, abilities, and everyday lives. Technology should support people, not overwhelm or restrict them. We therefore research and develop socio-technical systems that are grounded in real-life contexts and prioritize both societal and human values.

To make our work more visible and transparent, we’ll be posting weekly updates here starting now. We’d like to give you regular insights into:

  • Research and projects: Current progress reports, methods, and insights into ongoing projects.

  • Teaching and Theses: New seminar formats, courses, and exciting topics for student theses.

  • Publications and conferences: Recently published papers and presentations by our team.

  • Team and Department Life: New faces in the group, glimpses into everyday life at the University of Siegen, and shared milestones.

Feel free to check back regularly. We look forward to engaging with you and receiving your feedback!
