Moodle: Required update to the mobile app starting Monday, July 20, 2026

Dear Moodle users,

To ensure the long-term security of your data, we will be updating the minimum required version for using the Moodle mobile app to version 5.2.1 on Monday, July 20, 2026.

What does this mean for you?

Please update the app if necessary: Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) on your smartphone or tablet and install the latest update for the Moodle app. If you have automatic app updates enabled, this may have already happened.

If your app has not been updated to version 5.2.1 (or later) by Monday, you will temporarily be unable to log in via the app.

As a general safety precaution—even beyond this update—please do not use any login links in the Moodle app that are sent to you from unknown sources or via email.

Important: Using Moodle via a standard web browser (on a PC, laptop, or even in the browser on your smartphone or tablet) is completely unaffected by this change and continues to work without restriction.
