Vita

Kyra Dunkel earned her bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science from the University of Osnabrück. She then continued her studies at the University of Siegen, where she completed a master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (title of her master’s thesis: “Developing a Serious Game to Prepare Participants for Participatory Research”).
While pursuing her studies, she worked in Siegen as a research assistant at the Chair of IT for the Aging Society on the CoCre-HIT project, which aims to develop a theoretical and conceptual framework for co-creative processes and methods that accounts for the diversity and complexity of various practical contexts.
Since 2024, she has been working as a research associate at Fab Lab Siegen for the Chair of IT for the Aging Society. Her research focuses on digital education and continuing education for older adults, from those nearing retirement to those in old age. Currently, her focus is on supporting and implementing the “ATLAS” research project, which aims to assist medium-sized automotive suppliers in the South Westphalia region with their digital transformation. She also supports the European research project EDIH, which addresses transformation processes in medium-sized companies at the European level. In addition, she is involved in the TeleDiag project, which is developing a telemedicine tool to improve the diagnosis of post-COVID syndrome.
