Project description
In this study, we are particularly interested in the temporal stability of the (balanced) time perspective. In other words, the extent to which people's (balanced) time perspective changes (or does not change) over time. We are also interested in the mechanisms by which a (balanced) time perspective leads to greater well-being. To this end, we are interviewing people over a total period of 6 months about their life satisfaction, their experience of positive and negative emotions, their perception of their own past, present and future, etc.
Focal points of the project
-
Temporal stability (test-retest reliability): How much does the measure of (balanced) time perspective change over a period of 6 months? Which factors influence the change?
-
Mechanisms of action: Research shows: People who have a (balanced) time perspective also have a higher level of well-being. How does this correlation come about? Which factors play a role?
