Samira Ghadami Ghalandari

PhD student

After completing her bachelor's degree in accounting at Shahid Razei University in Kermanshah, Iran, Ms. Ghadami Ghalandari completed her master's degree in accounting and auditing at Parandak University in Tehran, which she then successfully completed. After her studies, she worked as an accountant in a private company from 2016 to 2021, where she gained extensive experience in financial reporting, tax procedures and technical analysis tools for the Iranian capital market. Between 2021 and 2023, Ms. Ghadami Ghalandari continued her professional career as an accountant in another company, expanding her knowledge in the areas of financial supervision, accounting documentation and application of digital accounting systems.

Since 2023, she has been on parental leave, during which she has been preparing her academic records and research project to start a doctoral program at the University of Siegen. In March 2024, Ms. Ghadami Ghalandari applied with the title of her dissertation "Improving fraud detection in small businesses: Leveraging Digitalization, AI and Ethical Frameworks for Auditors" for admission to the doctoral program at the Schools of Business and Economics (WiWi/WInf) at the University of Siegen. Her research focuses on fraud detection in digitized small businesses, the role of artificial intelligence in auditing and ethical frameworks for modern fraud prevention.
