Would you like to contractually regulate a research collaboration?
Whether BMFTR, Efre, ZIM, DAAD or Horizon Europe funding lines - or without third-party funding at all - we take care of contract drafting and review. We develop individual drafts, provide you with samples of cooperation agreements or take over the review and negotiation of draft agreements from partners.
If you wish to pass on funding from a research project to partners, we will also take care of the corresponding contract design.
Whether with or without third-party funding - we provide you with comprehensive advice on all legal aspects arising from the collaboration.
How does it work?
Simply send us an email or give our team a call.
For externally funded projects, please send us the project description and the grant notification, if already available.
What else should I bear in mind?
-
If a contractual partner comes from a non-EU country, you should contact Department 1.3 "Procurement and Customs Matters" at an early stage, which will check the foreign trade law requirements (export control): Sabrina.Patitucci@zv.uni-siegen.de; Jessica.Kramer@zv.uni-siegen.de
-
Are you planning to subcontract the project from the University of Siegen to a third party? In this case, the involvement of Department 1.3 - Procurement - is also
may be necessary to clarify the requirements of public procurement law. -
I am not a professor, but would like to manage the project independently and also co-sign the contract: In this case, you will need a faculty council resolution assigning the project to you for independent implementation.
- Theses are written in the project: The rights to the doctorate or its contents belong to the doctoral candidate themselves (even if employed by the University of Siegen), as the thesis is an independent scientific achievement. Before starting the project, make sure that the rights of use to the results are transferred to the University of Siegen to the required extent. To do this, use our template for granting rights of use:
