Dr. Schwoy has been a research assistant at the Chair of Business Administration, in particular Accounting and Corporate Governance, at the University of Siegen since April 2018. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Real Estate Economics from the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Mannheim. She worked for BLB NRW in various departments, including Accounting and Controlling. Dr. Schwoy obtained her Master of Science in Accounting, Auditing and Taxation from the University of Siegen in September 2015. She began her professional career as a consultant in the auditing department of PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH in Düsseldorf. She worked in the Risk & Regulation department with a focus on the trading activities of financial institutions.
