Certificates and BAföG certificates

BAföG

Note: Please note the information on the extended BAföG maximum funding period, which you can find on the website of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

If you are a BAföG recipient, after the end of the 4th semester you must generally provide proof of your academic achievements in accordance with § 48 BAföG to the responsible Office for Educational Support that your studies are progressing successfully and according to schedule.

In the Bachelor's degree program for the teaching profession at the University of Siegen, the proof of achievement according to §48 BAföG after the 3rd or 4th semester is based on 2/3 of the regular course of study.

This means

  • If the transcript of records is submitted to the Office for Educational Support in the first four months of the fourth semester, 60 LP from all subjects must be available
  • If the transcript of records is submitted to the Office for Educational Support after the first four months of the fourth semester or at the beginning of the fifth semester, 80 credit points from all subjects must be available

The proof of academic achievement can be submitted to the Office for Educational Support either

  • by submitting an overview of your academic achievements printed out by yourself from unisono or
  • using form 5(download), which you must first submit to the Central Examination Office for signature.

On the websites of the Studentenwerk Siegen
and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF)
you will find further information on BAföG.
