Information for members and students of the University of Siegen

University members and students of the University of Siegen log in via the Shibboleth interface with their ZIMT ID and the corresponding password (e.g. as with moodle or the university mail account).
If you have problems using Shibboleth, or if you have forgotten your password, please contact the ZIMT Support Desk. 

Please note: Passing on your password to other people to access your user account on your behalf also gives them access to your personal email account! 
Lecturers at the University of Siegen can authorize up to 3 people (e.g. assistants or secretarial staff) to access the library account.
 

Information for library users who are not members of the university

Non-university library users also receive an account number (ZIMT ID) and an initial password when applying for a library card. This can only be used for logging into the Katalog plus.
 

You can then log in to the Katalog plus and to the account functions (account view, loan period renewal, reservation, interlibrary loan request) via the Shibboleth interface of the University of Siegen. 
Please change the assigned password to an individual password via the ZIMT service page.

If you have assigned your own password but have forgotten it, the staff of the Central User Services of the University Library can reset the password to the initial password.
If you have problems using Shibboleth, if you do not receive an email or have forgotten your initial password, please also contact the Central User Services of the University Library.
