Strong Representation from the Department: Our Team at IFERA 2026 in Naples

From June 9 to 12, 2026, our department was represented by five people at the annual conference of the IFERA (International Family Enterprise Research Academy) in Naples: one of the world’s leading conferences in the field of family business research. The delegation included Prof. Dr. Giuseppe Strina, Dr. Philipp Köhn, Katharina Fiebig, Matthias Vogel, and Tom Widrinsky. HEC Paris

The conference’s central theme was “Legacy in Action: Mobilizing Family Capital for Enduring Impact”—a topic that directly touches the core of our research on family-run SMEs. The focus was on how family businesses, as guardians of a sustainable legacy, contribute to financial stability, social prosperity, and long-term prospects. IFERAIFERA

Our team members presented their current research and engaged in academic exchanges with scholars from around the world. This year, IFERA also celebrated its 25th anniversary—a special occasion for a conference that once again highlighted just how vibrant and international family business research has become.
