In contrast to many other universities, University of Siegen offers a very wide range of specializations to choose from. In particular, the early switch to Bachelor's and Master's degree courses means that students can work towards their future career goal by specializing at an early stage.
A great advantage of the University of Siegen is the favorable environment. The computer rooms of the Faculty of Economic Disciplines, Business Information Systems and Business Law are regularly equipped with new modern computers, so that students have access to state-of-the-art computer workstations.
Queuing in front of a PC or long waits for urgently needed literature are "foreign words" at the University of Siegen. The extensive university library offers over 1.2 million literature sources. In August 2016, the University Library opened its first city center location with the new US branch library. Around 100,000 business and law media have found a new home here in the immediate vicinity of Faculty III. In addition to a large reference library, students have direct online access to almost all economics and business journals and over 180 legal journals of the highest quality via the database providers EBSCO and Science Direct. The Faculty also has online access to the Thomson Reuters EIKON database and the Amadeus corporate database.
The wide range of specialization subjects, the modern equipment of the university facilities, small learning groups and the excellent accessibility and support of the teaching staff create an environment at the University of Siegen that enables students to successfully complete their studies. However, it is not only the conditions at the university, but also the city's extensive offerings (theater, concerts, cinema, student pubs,...) that make University of Siegen an attractive place to study.
