University Services for International Researchers

The Dual Career Service
supports newly appointed professors and new employees in relocating to Siegen. It also offers spouses of employees help with their job search. Please bear in mind that the job search can take some time and that German language skills are particularly important here.

The Family Service Office
supports all working people and students in balancing family and career and organizing everyday life. On the portal you will not only find information and answers to questions about family matters, but also current events. As a mediation, contact and advice center, the office is also available for individual concerns. The office is also concerned about family justice at universities.

Research alumni are academics who are spending or have spent a research stay at the University of Siegen. The research alumni program
supports and promotes their work with offers of sustainable cooperation, exchange and networking.

The House of Young Talents
is the graduate center of the University of Siegen and is located on the Hölderlin Campus. It supports graduates in their research activities both within and outside the university. It is available to answer questions on all aspects of academic careers and also offers interdisciplinary continuing education programs.

The Language Center
of the University of Siegen offers language courses as well as communication and presentation courses to all language enthusiasts and internationally interested university members. Students and staff can learn foreign languages and make contacts in a relaxed atmosphere in the form of international film evenings or language tandems. There are currently 14 languages on offer, four of which are specialist languages.

The University Library (UB) supports students, lecturers and researchers in their search for literature and information. The offer includes books, journals, eBooks, eJournals and databases, which are listed in the catalog plus
catalog. At five locations
the University Library offers study and work spaces, group rooms and a family study room. It also offers courses and workshops
important skills for literature and information research - on site or online. The library regularly provides information about services, events and current offers on its homepage, via Instagram and in the newsletter. The staff at the Central Information Desk and the lending desk will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

The Women Career Service supports female university members and offers workshops and events on career-related topics, for example. The focus here is on the areas of "Studies & Career Entry", "Science & Research" and "Science & Management". The Woman Career Service is also an exchange platform for female university members.

The ZIMT
is the Center for Information and Media Technology and thus a central operating unit of the University of Siegen. It is responsible for the technical framework of university operations and provides all members of the university with all the necessary resources.
