Important Deadlines and Information About the AAT for the 2026/2027 Winter Semester

Starting with the 2026/2027 winter semester, there will be several changes to the Master’s program in Accounting, Auditing, and Taxation (AAT). At the same time, there are important deadlines for students, particularly regarding the examination regulations, modules being phased out, funding programs, and the kick-off event for the new semester.

An overview of the deadlines:

Starting in the 2026/2027 winter semester, the Commercial and Corporate Law module (9 ECTS) will no longer be offered. Students who are studying under the 2019 AAT examination regulations and have not yet successfully completed the module are asked to notify us by email (andreas.dutzi@uni-siegen.de) no later than Friday, September 25, September 2026, at thelatest. In this case, an appropriate replacement module will be designated.

This deadline also applies to questions regarding other modules that will no longer be offered starting in the 2026/2027 winter semester.

Students who wish to switch to the new AAT program examination regulations for the 2026/2027 winter semester must submit the corresponding application by Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the latest. Further information and the application form can be found on the Faculty III Examinations Office website under Program Information – Master’s in AAT.

If you have any questions about switching to the new examination regulations, please feel free to contact us by email at andreas.dutzi@uni-siegen.de.

Students have until Monday, October 5, 2026, to apply for the Deutschlandstipendium and the SFF Scholarship.

Please note that some university websites may still list deadlines from previous years. The current calls for applications are authoritative: https://blogs.uni-siegen.de/sff/jetzt-bewerben/ or https://blogs.uni-siegen.de/sff/deutschlandstipendium-des-bundes/.

The Siegen Forum for Accounting, Auditing, and Taxation e. V. (Alumni Association) expressly supports the funding of these scholarships for AAT students. Interested students are therefore cordially invited to take advantage of these funding opportunities and apply.

If you have any questions about the alumni association, Prof. Thomsen is happy to assist you.

On Monday, October 12, 2026, starting at 4:00 p.m., the kick-off event for the AAT will take place in Room US-C 109. During the event, the new features of the AAT program will be presented, the new AAT buddy program will be launched, and questions about the study program will be answered.

At the same time, the event is intended to celebrate the successful completion of the long-standing accreditation process and to mark the start of the new semester together. All students are cordially invited!

Registration: Please register informally by email at accounting@uni-siegen.de by Monday, October 5, 2026.

We look forward to celebrating the start of the new semester and the continued development of the AAT with you.
