The health of our employees and students is important to us.

To prevent workplace accidents and work-related illnesses, we have compiled a number of documents that provide supervisors, employees, and students with important information on accident prevention, occupational safety responsibilities, and the proper handling of machinery and hazardous substances.

Despite numerous structural and organizational fire safety measures, the possibility of a fire occurring on campus can never be completely ruled out. Therefore, the following documents provide important information on what to do in the event of a fire and on fire prevention.

Even though the goal is to prevent workplace accidents, they cannot be ruled out entirely. In addition, medical emergencies (e.g., circulatory problems, nausea, heart attack) can occur at any time and anywhere, so appropriate precautionary measures must be taken.
 

Department 1.1, Occupational Safety and Health, in collaboration with various other providers (e.g., AMZ Siegen, the fire department), training courses on various topics related to occupational safety, fire safety, health protection, and first aid, which employees of the University of Siegen can attend—for the most part free of charge—after registering.
