Since 2022, I have been working as a research assistant at the Chair of Comparative Cultural Sociology and Political Sociology of Europe [Link]. I am currently working on the DFG-funded research project The European Literary Field: Cultural Brokers and Boundary Practices [Link], in which we are investigating the social dynamics of border demarcation and border opening between book markets at national, European and global levels.

More on my work: Google Scholar [Link], ORCID [Link], GitHub [Link].

Research profile

Within the framework of cultural sociology, my research deals with the question of how transnational fields of cultural production emerge and change over time. Using the European literary field as an example, I examine the logic according to which actors, literary works and national literary traditions are attributed their legitimacy and value. I am also interested in statistical network analysis, multiple correspondence analysis and methods for the computational analysis of textual data.
