Studying abroad

Romance Seminar

Spending time abroad is a very important experience during the Romance studies program. Students are expected to spend an extended period of time in a country of the target language at least once. Erasmus stays are particularly popular, for which we have a number of cooperation agreements with European universities. For Latin America, we have concluded further cooperation agreements. Below you will find a list of universities and their contact persons at the Department of Romance Languages. For further information, please contact the International Student Affairs
(ISA) of the university and International Affairs
in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. For teacher training students, a foreign language assistantship via the Pedagogical Exchange Service
(PAD) is of particular interest, as it allows students to gain experience in foreign school systems and independent teaching. For first-year students with a focus on France, we recommend the Program d'Études en France (PEF)
of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). For advanced students and even after completing their studies, numerous other offers from the German Academic Exchange Service
(DAAD) are also attractive. We also recommend spending a few weeks abroad as part of an internship or traineeship. You can obtain information on this from the internship office
of the Schools, the ISA and the teaching staff of the Romance Department. The international double degree programs European Business Communication
/ Licence Langues, communication et commerce européens and M.A. Linguistics: digital, applied, structural
/ Sciences du langage.
