Social Work Office

Students, teaching staff and lecturers can contact us with organizational questions about the social work courses.

We also offer advice on attending conferences on the Master's degree course in Social Work and provide copies of the journal Siegen:Sozial (SI:SO).

We are happy to refer you to other contact persons.

Access, application, enrollment

Services and practical phases

The Examination Office for Social Work is available to answer questions about coursework and examinations, theses or recognition. Contact details can be found on the homepage of the Examinations Office.

Information and contact persons can be found on the homepage of the practical training office/department. The brochure on practical phases I and II summarizes all information on the two practical phases.

Conference visits in the Master's program

You can find information on conference attendance in section C of the FAQ page for the Master's degree program in Social Work. If you have any questions regarding the invoicing of conference visits, please contact studiengangsbuero@biso.uni-siegen.de and refer to the information sheet on the funding of student conference visits. You can find the application for remuneration/fees for guest lectures and travel expenses for external students in the form center .

Siegen:Sozial (SI:SO) - Journal series on social work topics

To receive an issue of SI:SO, please send an e-mail to studiengangsbuero@biso.uni-siegen.de and let us know which issue you would like and your postal address. Alternatively, we will be happy to send you a PDF file. A list of issues already published can be viewed in the digitized archive.

Consulting services

The job placement service regularly publishes job vacancies. Job vacancies are also regularly posted in the corridor of the Social Work and Educational Science degree programs in building AR-K, level 1.

The Psychological Counseling Service offers various support services for psychological stress, which are published by the Psychological Counseling Service. Contact details can also be found there. The psychological counseling offices are located in building F-S.

The Inclusion Service Office is available for concerns relating to a disability or chronic illness. The Inclusion Service Office also provides information on compensation for disadvantages. The Inclusion Service Office is located in room AR-D 4105.

Student representative councils are the student representation of Interests at departmental level. The Student Representative Council (FSR) for Social Work represents the interests of students on the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Social Work. The office of the Student Representative Council is in AR-D 4104. The FSR Social Work also has a website.
