Student Voices: Insights into the Business Administration program

Wide range of options, personalized pathways, strong support!
I didn’t originally plan to come to Siegen after finishing my Abitur, but now I’m very glad I decided to study here. Once you settle in, you quickly notice the distinct advantages that the city has to offer: the centrally located campus in the castle is just steps from the train station, everything is within easy reach, class sizes are manageable thanks to an excellent student-to-faculty ratio, and professors are approachable if you want to connect.
During your first semesters, you'll build a foundation in business fundamentals. You'll cover core areas like accounting, marketing, and operations, and participate in hands-on experiences such as business simulation exercises. Later, you can select from a broad array of concentrations, allowing you to pursue your interests and customize your academic path. I was drawn to International Management, for instance. You also have the option to enhance your education through elective modules and certificate programs, which provide additional preparation for your career.
There are plenty of ways to get involved outside the classroom and strengthen your soft skills. For example, I joined the student council to advocate for student interests. The vibrant student community has helped me build lasting friendships. And whenever you need support, the Business Administration Academic Advisor is always available to help. Looking back, I would absolutely choose the University of Siegen again.
