The Center for Teacher Training and Educational Research (ZLB) is the central unit for teacher training and educational research at the University of Siegen. In accordance with the provisions of § 30 HG of the state of NRW
the ZLB as an independent organizational unit with decision-making, management and resource competencies. According to § 28 of the Basic Regulations of the University of Siegen
the ZLB performs the corresponding tasks in close coordination with Schools and subjects. The regulations of the Center for Teacher Training and Educational Researchapply to the ZLB as a participatory cross-structure of the University of Siegen.
As a cross-disciplinary and cross-faculty institution, the ZLB serves to coordinate, advise, develop and evaluate and thus ensure the studyability and quality of university teacher training.
On the basis of the Basic Regulations of the University of Siegen and the Regulations of the Center for Teacher Training and Educational Research, the Schools form the ZLB Council (ZLBR), which has decision-making powers.
