The Language Center offers individual advice for all GFL learners. These include writing advice, which provides support with writing texts, and language learning advice, which teaches methods and strategies for effective German learning.

Language learning is individual - and not always tied to a single language. Our cross-language advisory services are aimed at you if you are looking for support in planning, organizing or optimizing your language learning process.

We advise you regardless of which language you are learning or would like to learn. Together we will clarify your goals, develop suitable learning strategies and find the right courses at the Language Center.

Advising and supporting Schools in the creation and updating of study program documents

The Language Center issues DAAD language certificates for all languages taught (except DaF). These are often required for applications abroad (study visits, internships).

Asset accounting tasks are performed by the Financial Accounting team in the Finance department.
All asset invoices are recorded in asset accounting. The specific useful lives of the procured assets, which determine the amount of annual depreciation, are determined here. The entire asset inventory is kept in a register from which all relevant information can be taken. The asset inventory is checked as part of the (permanent) inventory.

We support and accompany newly appointed professors and their partners during their new start in Siegen.

The Language Center of the University of Siegen offers Dutch courses in consecutive modules from A1 to B1. The courses promote oral and written language skills, impart basic knowledge of the Dutch language and culture and enable students to obtain the UNIcert® certificate.

Our digital examinations enable transparent processes, convenient implementation and support a contemporary examination culture.

The University of Siegen's Language Center offers a diverse and targeted English course program for students, doctoral candidates and employees. In addition to general language courses at levels A2 to C1, subject-specific courses such as Academic Writing, Business Communication and specialized language courses for various fields of study are also offered. The courses promote all four language skills - listening, reading, speaking and writing - and help participants to communicate confidently in English in an academic, professional and intercultural environment.
