Creating, rehearsing, and performing music together: Collaborative soundscapes and performances are shaped in the Institute’s ensembles and studios. The ensembles uniChor, uniOrchester, Big Band, and Jazz-Rock-Pop (JRP) Ensemble perform regularly at events on campus and at other public venues. There are a variety of collaborations, such as with the Philharmonie Südwestfalen, jazz musician Jiggs Wigham, and regional choirs.

The Studio for New Music regularly offers concerts, performances, and a variety of interdisciplinary event formats centered on contemporary music. The Studio for Postdigital Creativity Research (SpK) combines empirical research with artistic practices such as sound installations and multimedia performances.
