FAQ, deadlines, free attempts
You can register from 01.05.2026 - 31.07.2026 in unisono
to register for the examinations.
The prerequisite for admission to the examination in a module is the successful completion of the coursework, if such is required.
Withdrawal up to one week before the examination date via unisono
is possible.
To withdraw from examinations due to illness, a medical certificate must be submitted to the Examinations Office within three days of the respective examination date. The submission can be made in electronic form by e-mail.
If the first examination date has not been passed or if a student withdraws due to illness, it is possible to retake the examination. Registration for the 2nd examination date must also be made via unisono
as well.
There is no entitlement to retake a failed examination or coursework in its original form.
In the Bachelor's degree program, students can apply for a maximum of three failed examinations to be assessed as a free attempt.
In the Master's degree program, students can apply for a maximum of two failed examinations to be assessed as a free attempt.
Free attempts do not apply to Bachelor's/Master's thesis, oral examinations and colloquia.
The application for a free attempt must be submitted to the Examinations Office within one month of the announcement of the examination result .
