Reaccreditation of the AAT Master's Program

As a result of the reaccreditation of the master’s program in Accounting, Auditing, and Taxation (AAT), new examination regulations will take effect in the 2026/27 winter semester. The effective date is October 1, 2026.

The new examination regulations will initially apply exclusively to students who enroll in the AAT master’s program for the first time beginning with the 2026/27 winter semester.

Provisions for Currently Enrolled Students

The examination regulations currently applicable to your program will remain in effect for a period equal to 1.5 times the standard duration of study. You therefore have the option to complete your studies under the previous regulations by March 30, 2029. After this date, the previous program examination regulations will cease to be in effect. Thereafter, the provisions of the new program examination regulations will apply to your program of study.

Voluntary transition to the 2026–27 winter semester is possible

Upon request, you may switch to the new examination regulations even before this date and continue your studies in accordance with their provisions. Whether such a switch makes sense for you depends, in particular, on which examinations you have already successfully completed and which examinations are still pending.

Please note the Examination Office’s notice that the application to transfer or switch to the new version of the examination regulations must be submitted via unisono by September 30, 2026, at the latest, if you wish to switch to the new departmental examination regulations as early as the 2026/27 winter semester.

Over the coming weeks, you will find the program overview for the new examination regulations as well as the application form for transferring credits to the new version on the Examinations Office’s website.

If you have any questions regarding the new 2026 examination regulations or the transition to the new regulations, please feel free to contact Prof. Dr. Andreas Dutzi.
