DaSi.NRW

DaSi.NRW is a consortium operating throughout North Rhine-Westphalia that provides a shared backup service. 

 

Derecognition or transfer of assets

Asset accounting tasks are performed by the Financial Accounting team in the Finance department.
All asset invoices are recorded in asset accounting. The specific useful lives of the procured assets, which determine the amount of annual depreciation, are determined here. The entire asset inventory is kept in a register from which all relevant information can be taken. The asset inventory is checked as part of the (permanent) inventory.

DHCP

DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) enables networking devices to automatically receive their network settings.

DNS and NTP

The ZIMT provides central servers for DNS (resolving domain names) and NTP (timing via the network).

We support and assist newly appointed professors and their partners as they settle into their new lives in Siegen. 

Dutch

The Language Center at the University of Siegen offers Dutch courses in progressive modules ranging from A1 to B1. The courses develop oral and written language skills, provide a basic understanding of the Dutch language and culture, and enable students to earn the UNIcert® certificate.

In the area of English, the Language Center at the University of Siegen offers a diverse and targeted course program for students, doctoral candidates, and staff. In addition to general language courses at levels A2 through C1, the center also offers topic-specific courses such as Academic Writing, Business Communication, and subject-specific language courses for various fields of study. The courses develop all four language skills—listening, reading, speaking, and writing—and help participants gain the confidence to communicate effectively in English in academic, professional, and intercultural settings.
