At the University of Siegen’s Language Center, students can learn Swedish from the beginner level up to Level A2. They also have the opportunity to earn the UNIcert® Basic Certificate. The courses not only teach language skills but also provide insights into Swedish culture, daily life, and communication.

The TestDaF, the German language proficiency test for international applicants, can be taken at the Language Center at the University of Siegen. The TestDaF serves as proof that you have the language skills required to study at a German university. Researchers can also use the TestDaF to prepare for research stays. The TestDaF certificate is recognized by all universities in Germany.

"The Global Engineer’s English Toolkit: Technical, Academic, Digital, Intercultural"is designed for students in engineering programs at the B2 level who want to communicate effectively in today’s international, digitally connected workplace. The course combines technical, academic, digital, and intercultural skills and prepares engineers to work confidently across borders and disciplines. 

The Language Center at the University of Siegen offers the TOEFL iBT® test, the world’s leading English proficiency test for academic purposes. The test is recognized by over 13,000 universities and institutions in more than 160 countries, assesses English proficiency in realistic college settings, and is suitable for academic studies, scholarships, visa applications, or professional qualifications.

The transfer posting of G/L expenses is an administrative process for correcting expenses or income that have been erroneously posted to projects or cost centers. It also serves to correct the G/L account used.

At the University of Siegen’s Language Center, students can learn Turkish from the beginner level up to Level A2—including regional studies and cultural education. Students have the opportunity to earn the UNIcert® certificate. In addition, Turkish is offered to students whose native language is Turkish; in this course, they can further develop their language skills.

UNIcert® is a certification program for foreign language instruction at universities. The UNIcert® program prepares participants for academic studies or a career in the target language.

At the Language Center, the UNIcert® certificate can be earned in the following languages:
