Social Sciences Department
We teach and conduct research in the fields of political science, sociology and digital public health. Among other things, we deal with democracy and participation, migration, transnationalization, political systems and political cultures, political education, health and the labour market.
In Siegen, you will study social sciences in an interdisciplinary and research-oriented way. You will experience which research questions the social sciences ask themselves and which theories and methods they use to reflect on and try to answer these questions. If you are interested in studying, researching or doing an internship abroad, you will benefit from the cooperation between the social sciences at the University of Siegen and universities and other institutions worldwide.
