Further education offer LehramtPLUS

LehramtPLUS
is a certificate program of the Center for Teacher Training and Educational Research (ZLB). It enables all student teachers to acquire additional professional skills and thus promotes the personal and professional development of students. Students can select courses from various content areas to develop their individual profile. If several courses are attended, a certificate is issued for the additional achievements.

The LehramtPLUSprogram
consists of lectures, workshops and excursions. This also includes the focus on teacher training and excursions organized by the Lernwerkstatt.

OASE learning workshop

The OASE Lernwerkstatt is geared towards primary school teaching and is part of the Primary School Pedagogy working group at Schools II under the direction of Dr. Barbara Müller-Naendrup. Together with the OASE Lernwerkstatt, we organize various events, such as LaNa, games evenings and timetable advice in the ESe. We are also planning to start a collaboration on Montessori pedagogy and other materials in the future.

Math workshop

The MatheWerkstatt is entirely dedicated to mathematics and is part of the Didactics of Mathematics in Schools IV under the direction of Dr.'in Eva Hoffart. Together with the MatheWerkstatt, we organize various events such as LaNa, games evenings and timetable advice in the ESE.

DiversiTeach

Ment4you is now called DiversiTeach and is a state-wide program of the Network of Migrant Teachers NRW, which is funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (MKW) in the second period between October 2021 and February 2023. The project partners are the teacher training universities in NRW. At the University of Siegen, the program is based at the office of the Center for Teacher Training and Educational Research (ZLB).
The aim of DiversiTeach is to promote and deepen the content of migration education in teacher training courses. To this end, study-related events are offered in the form of EOP internship support. This is achieved through a comprehensive range of different themed days, workshops, excursions, lectures (lecture series), discussions and other events.

LehrkräftePLUS Siegen

LehrkäftePLUS is a project for the further qualification of refugee teachers. The further training program enables refugees who have worked as teachers in their home country to continue their profession in Germany.

The school of the Wuppertal-Ronsdorf prison

We regularly offer an excursion to Iserlohn Prison to visit the prison's school building and get an impression of how learning and teaching works there.

"Patient school" at the DRK children's hospital in Siegen

School-age patients who stay at the DRK Children's Hospital Siegen for longer than four weeks are taught there by teachers from various disciplines and school levels. We regularly offer excursions to the DRK Children's Hospital Siegen.
