Dear First-Year Students,

We are pleased to welcome you to the Faculty of Arts and Humanities for the 2026–27 winter semester.

To help you get off to a good start in your studies, this page lists a number of important dates and information. These resources will make it easier for you to familiarize yourself with the structure of your program.

In any case, we recommend that you take advantage of Welcome Week (October 5–8, 2026), which includes advising sessions with departmental representatives as well as the phil: Student Advising (in-person events) and to mark your calendars now (the exact dates are expected to be published here by the end of August).
In addition, from September 21 to 23, 2026, preliminary course schedule advising sessions for our bachelor’s programs will be held in person or online via Webex. You can register here.

Information and dates for Welcome Week for teacher education students can be found on the homepage of the Center for Teacher Education and Educational Research.
Information on the Welcome Week organized by the student councils GGLaBaMa and SLM can be found on their respective Instagram channels.
